The composition of AEDES DE VENUSTAS SIGNATURE Eau de Parfum It's a world unto itself: there's no trace of the traditional olfactory pyramid. Instead, the construction is baroque yet futuristic; a rounded, luxurious, and voluptuous work. Duchaufour describes the perfume as "a play of supports," an unlikely architecture in which the ephemeral green rhubarb intensifies over time while a dark, resinous chypre and incense accord recedes, becoming more abstract. This interplay between freshness and depth is the axis around which the fragrance revolves, just like the wearer, who emanates its memorable trail.
In addition to rhubarb and incense, notes include tomato leaf, redcurrant, honeysuckle, vetiver, and hazelnut. Duchaufour sources many of the raw materials himself, traveling the world to work with farmers on sustainable and fair trade practices. For SIGNATURE, he sourced the vetiver from Madagascar.
