Sex and the Sea

Sex behind the dunes… a sexy dream for adults, but in reality this perfume has a slightly different genesis.

During my childhood and adolescence, I spent a lot of time at the seaside. One of my strongest memories of that time is the smell of my skin, which I loved to smell like a drug addict. Eventually, my parents sold their beach house, and college, work, boyfriends, and so on took me far from that memory. Five years ago, I moved to Holland and forgot the smell of my sweaty, salty skin.

I occasionally came across a L'Occitaine face cream containing Immortelle. The scent of that plant wasn't actually that pungent in the cream, but it did forcefully bring back childhood memories of my skin.

I confess that I completely overlooked the helichrysum essential oil that was on my shelf. Ma Now I've smelled it again, with a new nose. I've worked on a special amber accord, human, I'd say. A civet tincture strengthened this intimate atmosphere, while a special ambergris molecule added a mineral-salty touch.

So that was the starting point: sunburned, sweaty, salty skin—one of the most comfortable and probably strangest memories I had in my heart.

As I worked on this central idea, other kinky ideas inevitably emerged, and I added to this strange but innocent idea a more sensual, sinful, and decadent fantasy of remotely tropical, creamy, and sticky skin after intercourse.
