Bourgeonal, contained in this fragrance, is an aromatic aldehyde that helps sperm locate the egg and thus begin a new life. It acts as a chemoattractant for human sperm, causing them to swim twice as fast toward their destination.
This watery note reminiscent of lily-of-the-valley essence is the only known olfactory substance to which males react with greater sensitivity than females.
