Penhaligon's Quercus Cologne 100 ml is aeau de toilette A unisex chypre. Created in 1996, from the Latin name for oak, it is inspired by grandeur and majesty. Quercite, a precious substance believed by alchemists to possess mysterious aphrodisiac properties, was extracted from acorns. A surprisingly fresh and citrusy opening becomes woody upon contact with the skin. A genderless and ageless essence. Quercus announces itself with a luminous burst of citrus and basil, supported in the heart by a sweet, spicy, and extremely delicate accord of jasmine, cardamom, and lily-of-the-valley. The green of the basil lingers in the base notes of surprisingly enduring musk and sandalwood. These are warmed with musk and patchouli to create an elegant, strong, and energizing eau de cologne.
