The duo Oud Immortel and Accord Oud they are both created around theoud, a type of wood that, thanks to its use in traditional incense and perfumes, has taken on great cultural significance. Its existence is mentioned in one of the world's oldest written texts: the Indian Vedas, written in Sanskrit. When the previously light-colored heartwood of the Aquilaria is infected by a specific type of mold, it defends itself by saturating the core with a dark, extremely fragrant resin. This dark wood, oud, or agarwood, contains a complex fragrance, similar to few other natural ingredients.
