Penhaligon's Opus 1870 EDT is aeau de toilette A masculine woody fragrance. The name itself says it all. "Opus" is the Latin translation of "masterpiece." Created in 2005, the fragrance is an elegant and complex woody chypre. It opens with a luxurious accord of sweet citrus and black pepper. The heart is then illuminated by delicate clove, English rose, and incense. The base notes of cedarwood and sandalwood are strong. Opus 1870 is wonderfully warm and comforting: a scent to wrap yourself up in during cold winter nights.
