Lost in Heaven

Lost in Heaven describes a dream sequence of an adult who gets lost in heaven.

It represents the complexity of feelings that convey both the longing for a place of pristine innocence and unconditional love and the inevitable and controversial burden of life, made up of feelings of sin and guilt – real, or worse, imagined.

This dichotomy, which lies behind everyone's soul, is represented by a selection of the most angelic notes: beautiful orange blossom and jasmine absolutes, along with soft heliotrope, smooth sandalwood, sweet tonka bean, and many other notes that I consider heavenly.

The darker side is conveyed much more subtly, not immediately detectable, through cumin and other spices, and a wide selection of animalic notes, including a reconstruction of Tonkin Musk.

I thought of calling this perfume 'Feeling Good', as that is its purpose: to make you feel like you could be in heaven, not a false, imaginary one, but a real place where you can finally face the darkest side of yourself, with the heavy baggage you carry with you.

Fragile, sensual, emotional, even if not technically gourmand, it reminds me of a cake, rich in spices and scented with orange blossoms: not of high pastry but the archetypal smell of a cake made by mom, with only good things inside.

Footnotes: Grapefruit, green mandarin, orange blossom absolute, jasmine, ylang ylang extra, mimosa, magnolia, cumin, cinnamon, coriander, ambergris, musk, castoreum, beeswax, orris butter, cistus absolute, opoponax, heliotrope, vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli, tonka bean.
