Island

On the island, there are psychedelic places and scents, sublime atmospheres that only the heat can provide, the warmth of the wind, the light scent of citrus, yuzu lemonades, day and night, on the horizon. That same year, after a long time, I returned to Sicily and Japan; it was the summer of '23. Lemonades at the old port, children running through the sunny streets of the casbah, the warm wind on the beaches, a sip of amaro every evening, dear friends from distant worlds. I wandered the bright streets of Mazara del Vallo, my hometown, watching the sun strike my body, my joy rediscovering childhood. It was all there: my land, my love, my friends, my most intimate bonds.

Isola is a human state of mind, perceiving that water exists all around us, and that this pure element isolates us yet protects us. It was that same summer, I walked the Japanese streets, taking refuge in the shade of quiet gardens, listening to the weather, gazing at the warm August sun. In Isola, I shared my love for life, the contrast and union of two different cultures. Isola is a citrus fragrance, which, in the notes of Lemon and Yuzu, evokes two important places in my life, in my memory.

Isola is like a cool lemonade sipped in the Sicilian summer heat, gazing at the sea on the horizon, full of light and reflections, our happy gaze, bathed in the sun and the salty sea water. Isola is my turn toward the light. Fresh notes and the absence of darkness: this is Meo's great olfactory revolution in this perfume, the great challenge. To describe the happiness of an unforgettable summer through a cool Yuzu lemonade. I had a desire, to make this sensation infinite. Now everything is true.
