The fragrance owes its name to the splendid black rose that grows on the banks of the Euphrates River in the small village of Halfeti. In spring, the surrounding valleys fill with the fragrance of the extremely rare black rose, which grows and is cultivated only in those areas.
This rose species blooms in small quantities, only once a year, and has an unusual characteristic that distinguishes it: its petals are dark red when first opened, while at the end of flowering they turn unmistakably black.
Halfeti Leather opens boldly with vibrant bergamot and a subtle citrus fusion, complemented by sweeter accords of lavender, cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon. As the haze begins to settle, the full-bodied, heady base notes of oud, patchouli and leather.
