This fragrance aims to evoke degrees of hysteria and irresponsible behavior. It is a homage to Absinthe, an ambivalent and highly controversial liqueur, with its distinctive green colour and the strongly aromatic smell.
Absinthe is known to have protected soldiers at war from typhus, malaria and dysentery and that, after a period of glory and widespread diffusion, was banned. Among the various reasons for this provision one of them is related to thujone, a molecule present in Artemisia (a plant from which we get absinthe) containing a cannabinoid, which appeared to give the liquor a hallucinogenic effect and cause alterations of consciousness. As a component of several essential oils, thujone is used also in perfumery. As a young perfumer, The Nose used to mix it in his drinks based on of absinthe to make the effect even more impressive, and experience a different kind of intoxication, that of uncontrollable giggles and loud hysterical laughter.
Absinth is a perfume inspired by the escape towards happiness, by careless and senseless laughter; it is a moment of delirium that makes you forget your problems and allows you to immerse yourself in a luxurious type of madness.
Absinth contains a certain amount of chlorophyll and numerous natural ingredients that they could change the color of the perfume and create some sediment if stored for a long time time in direct light.
